Terms of Service
Last updated: 15 May 2026
Who we are
Briefkit Ltd (company number 17208742) is a UK limited company at 82A James Carter Road, Bury St Edmunds, IP28 7DE. Contact: hello@briefkit.co.uk.
By submitting a RAMS request through briefkit.co.uk, you agree to these Terms.
What you’re buying
Briefkit generates Risk Assessment and Method Statement (RAMS) documents using AI, based on the information you provide. Each document is:
- Generated to be site-specific to the work you describe
- Delivered as a PDF by email, typically within 2–5 minutes
- Sold as a one-off digital purchase
Your responsibilities — please read carefully
A Briefkit-generated RAMS is a starting point, not a final approved document. By using Briefkit, you confirm and agree that:
- You will have the document reviewed by a competent person (SSSTS, SMSTS, or equivalent) before any use on a real worksite
- The document must be accepted by the Principal Contractor’s representative before work begins, if applicable
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide. If you describe the work incorrectly, the document will not be fit for purpose
- You are responsible for the outcomes of any work carried out using the document
What we provide
We will:
- Generate a RAMS document using current AI technology and our methodology
- Deliver it in minutes via email
- Make reasonable best efforts to provide a useful, well-structured document
What we don’t promise
Briefkit does not warrant or guarantee:
- That any specific RAMS will be accepted by your client or Principal Contractor
- That the document is fit for any specific purpose without competent-person review
- That the document covers all hazards or controls specific to your worksite
- Continuous availability of the service (we operate on best-effort infrastructure)
The service is provided “as is” and without warranty, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by UK law, Briefkit Ltd’s total liability to you arising from or in connection with your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid for the specific document in question.
Briefkit Ltd is not liable for:
- Indirect or consequential losses
- Loss of profit, contracts, or business opportunity
- Workplace incidents, injuries, or regulatory enforcement arising from work carried out
- Inaccuracies in the document caused by inaccurate information you provided
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
Refunds
If the document we generate is unusable due to a fault on our side, you may request a full refund within 24 hours of receiving the document. Email hello@briefkit.co.uk with your reference number and a brief description of the problem. We’ll review and respond within 3 working days.
Refunds are not offered for documents that are usable but didn’t meet personal preference, or for problems caused by inaccurate input.
Intellectual property
Once you’ve paid for and received your RAMS document, you own it and may use, modify, share, or print it without further reference to Briefkit Ltd.
The Briefkit name, branding, website, and software remain the property of Briefkit Ltd.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Briefkit to:
- Submit information that violates anyone’s rights or legal obligations
- Attempt to bypass payment or otherwise abuse the service
- Use generated documents to mislead clients or regulators about work you haven’t planned
We reserve the right to refuse or terminate service to anyone using Briefkit in ways that damage us or other users.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date reflects the most recent change. Continued use of briefkit.co.uk after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
